New look for Volvo dealerships
Work is well underway as Squire Furneaux invest in a new look for our four Volvo dealership showrooms, bringing them up to date with the very latest worldwide corporate identity standards for the Volvo brand. The changes feature new furniture, branding and decoration and should be complete by the end of September. Were sure the new look will be well received by customers and do justice to the fantastic Volvo car range including the all new S60 saloon. Wasps rugby star re-signs with Squire Furneaux
Squire Furneaux are delighted to again be sponsoring London Wasps and England star Tom Varndell for the 2010-11 season. Tom enjoyed fantastic success in his first year with the Club, finishing top try scorer and earning representative honours with England Saxons on their summer tour of America. Local motorist wins the price of his car back
A motorist from Northampton is celebrating this week after winning the price of his car back in a national competition.
Graham Smith was presented with a cheque for 19,995 at Squire Furneaux Saab in Welwyn Garden City after purchasing a Saab 93 1.9 TiD Linear SE Convertible for the same value at the Dunstable branch of the dealership back in March.
The competition was hosted as part of Saab's Independence Event to celebrate the company's new ownership by luxury Dutch car firm, Spyker. Customers who purchased a car over the weekend were invited to enter a prize draw to win the price of their car back and Graham was picked from hundreds of entrants across more than 70 dealerships in the UK.
Graham comments, "I'm delighted to win the competition. I've owned a convertible before and was really keen to purchase the new Saab 9-3 Convertible when it became available. The Independence weekend seemed like the ideal opportunity to go to the dealership and take advantage of the deals on offer, but when I entered the competition I certainly didn't think I would win. The prize money has been a huge bonus for me and my family and I'm sure we'll enjoy our new car even more after winning the price of it back."

Squire Furneaux are delighted to announce the winners of their annual employee awards for 2009. Team of the Year saw a narrow victory for Guildford Car Sales ahead of their Slough colleagues. This was the sixth time the trophy has been awarded and the first win at Guildford as well as by a Car Sales team.

Martin Allen-Chart and Graham Sparks, senior technicians at Squire Furneaux's Welwyn Garden City Saab dealership, are the latest employees to achieve Automotive Technician Accreditation (ATA) standard at the GM Academy. They join Steven Begley and Alan Webb from the Dunstable dealership in a scheme first launched in 2005 and regulated by the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI). The ATA scheme is the UK’s first voluntary independently run programme, which proves the skills and abilities of car technicians to a national standard.
